How do I know when I’m supposed to reject participants in the VCS?
In general, you should reject participants in the VCS if data is incorrect, incomplete or contains errors.
Other possible reasons for rejection include:
• If you are an approver and you don't know the participant or don't have their documentation;
• If the participant does not clear the security risk inquiry;
• If the update in the VCS is inconsequential, such as changing the abbreviation "Rd." to "Road" in an address.
What is the status of my participant in the VCS?
Verifiers and approvers can check on the status of participants in the VCS using the Participant Dashboard link on the left side of the screen.
What is the maximum number of characters permitted in the first and last name field?
Forty (40) characters, each.
I am a verifier, how can I get contact information for a specific approver?
Log in to the VCS and click the link for the List of Approvers on the left side of the screen. You can see and sort the list by name or by country (by clicking on the column heading) to find an approver.
I received a new password for VCS but I still can’t log in.
Open the VCS (https://vcs.usaid.gov) and click the link to log in. Enter your username, the password you received in the email, then click the login button. You will be prompted to change your password. Enter the password from the email in the Current Password field, and enter a new, changed, password in the remaining two fields, then click the Change button. You will be redirected to the login page again. Now, log in with your newly entered password.
Note: Do not use the ENTER key to move from field to field. Use either the mouse or the Tab key. By using the ENTER key you can cancel the login operation.
