Getting Support For Your Mission
Missions who need additional assistance with roll-out, installation, or user training can obtain support from Development InfoStructure via buy-in to the START IQC or through a Blanket Purchase Authorization with USAID. Devis is the developer of TraiNet, the VCS and a subcontractor for all pre-approved START awardees.
USAID Blanket Purchase Authorization
Background
USAID awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract to Development InfoStructure (Devis) under the Devis GSA Information Technology Services Schedule. Devis was the designer and developer of the Trainet software under the GTD contract and has been actively involved in supporting the use of the software. The BPA allows all USAID Contracting Officers (AID/W and Missions) to purchase services in support of training data management and the Agency TraiNet system.
This USAID Contract No. FAO-E-00-99-00022-00 is effective for the period from Sep 30, 1999 to Dec 31, 2008. This BPA does not obligate any funds. Ordering from this contract offers advantages such as minimal paperwork, less lead-time for obtaining services, and reduced contract administration costs. No additional competition is required to make purchases from this BPA.
The BPA can be used to provide assistance for any training data management tasks such as:
- Initial setup and configuration of the TraiNet system, including modifying and customizing TraiNet with available options. Conversions of data into TraiNet format.
- On site training of all users and regional workshops on the use of TraiNet.
- Analyzing TraiNet data in order to generate a variety of reports, and assistance in creating custom reports.
- Helping missions coordinate data submission from multiple implementing partners (contractors, grantees, and partners).
DevIS has the staff and experience to supply 16 levels of specialists under this BPA. These levels consist of a program director, task manager, three each of Senior, Mid, and Junior MIS Specialists and five information specialists. The most efficient mix of specialists will be proposed based on the specific requirements of the task.
