Installation File
Note: The file you download will do a full installation of TraiNet. Please make sure you follow the instructions, below. If you are a current user of TraiNet, make sure you save your database file before installing this product so you do not overwrite it with a blank database.
This file is very large - over 34MB. If you cannot download a file of this size over your internet connection, please contact the Help Desk and an installation CD will be mailed to you.

Download Instructions
**Before downloading TraiNet 2.2.1, make a copy of your TraiNet database file (named dbTrainet2.mdb) and your TraiNet configuration file (named trainet2.ini). You will find these files in your \TraiNet2 folder. Copy them to a safe location like your computer desktop, a zip drive, CD ROM, USB storage device, or a safe location on your office network.
- Click the download link above to download the installation file.
- In the File Download box, choose Save.
- In the Save As box, choose Desktop as the save location
- In the Save As box, change the file name to TraiNet221.zip (initially the filename will be random characters).
- When the file download has completed, follow the Installation Instructions below.
Installation Instructions
- Uninstall your existing copy of TraiNet first.
- Copy your dbTrainet2.mdb and trainet2.ini files to a safe location, as mentioned in the Download Instructions.
- Open up Windows Control Panel and double click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
- Find TraiNet2 in the list. Click on it, then select the Change/Remove button.
- Download the TraiNet 2.2.1 Upgrade Installation file as explained in the Download Instructions.
- Double-click on the TraiNet221.zip icon on the desktop. This is the file you downloaded above.
- Double click on the file Setup.exe.
- An install window will appear. Click OK.
- In most cases, TraiNet can be installed by selecting the defaults during the installation process.
- When TraiNet has finished installing, close all windows.
- Copy the backup of your dbTrainet2.mdb and trainet2.ini file back to your \TraiNet2 folder.
- Launch TraiNet, choose About from the Help menu and check to see that Version 2.2.1 is displayed in the About box.

Additional Note:
If you receive an error message while running reports in TraiNet, do the following:
- Open up the Trainet2Reports.mdb file from the report folder under the TraiNet2 directory.
- From the file menu select Tools/Macro/Security.
- On the security level tab, select the low option.
- Close the mdb and attempt to run the reports from within TraiNet.
Enhancements
- For users of MS Office 2003 (Office XP), you can now run TraiNet reports from within TraiNet.
- You can now enter Group Training Status from within the Training Group Wizard.
- An enhanced report control panel with filtering by TraiNet Site ID.
- Additional financial reports that show budgeted and actual costs.
